OKR x SCRUM Workflow
Understanding OKR Review
- The OKR review focuses on evaluating our past performance, assessing the relevance of our OKRs, and extracting actionable insights from our experiences to enhance future performance in the upcoming month.
- The OKR review is divided into two parts:
- OKR scoring which quantitatively assesses our progress towards objectives, and
- OKR review, an open dialogue to share insights, best practices, and validate our OKRs' relevance for improved focus and efficiency in the upcoming month.

- Request Key Result owners to share their results from 0-1 (1=100%), then input these into the template.
- Derive Objective scores from the average scores of associated Key Results.

2. OKR Review
- This step aims to learn from past experiences by deriving actionable insights and best practices, validating our OKRs' relevance, and boosting focus and efficiency for the upcoming month.
- Guidelines for the OKR Review discussion:
-
The discussion focuses only on your Key Results and their scores since they are closer to the actual execution making the review more concrete.
-
Keep each Key Result review to a maximum of 20 minutes for efficiency. If earlier discussions were quicker, allocate the saved time to other key results as needed.
-
Statements during the review should be forward-thinking, solution-oriented, and rooted in self-reflection. No complaint is valid without a proposed solution.
-
The assigned team member documenting the OKR scoring also records all review statements in the OKR Review template.
